Rackspace Hosting - Completed Case Study (Installment III)

With the first investment analysis completed for Installment III, this pack is meant to simulate an opportunistic credit / special situations case study. We analyze Rackspace's capital structure to find which tranche (if any) provides dislocated value for investors. The pack includes the following:

1) ZIP file containing quarterly financials, lender presentations, 1L credit agreement and case study instructions.

The finished product (inside the ZIP file) includes:

1) 35 page PowerPoint presentation detailing and analyzing a) Rackspace's business model  and product offerings, b) historical financials (breaking down their topline contraction and margin deterioration and cash flow generation), c) carving out a core investment thesis for both business segments and capital structure investment considerations, d) modeling out the Company's likely outcomes and how Apollo's operating decisions will impact creditor returns and e) a spread of the 1L Credit Agreement. 

2) Excel that contains all of the backups to the PowerPoint presentation including the models behind the four likely scenarios we discuss in the book 

3) 2 hours of video content that a) breaks down Rackspace's business, b) walks candidates through how to properly present the case study in a real debrief interview, c) explains all financial projections and returns assumptions and d) provides tips on how to best structure your case study for either on-cycle and off-cycle interviews.
